Due to the World Cup qualifiers, the league is on a break, so we could have a look at some statistics. One such figure is the average attendance, which is one of the most important indicators for a club. After six rounds in the 2025/26 season of Fizz Liga, DVSC’s matches drawn the largest crowds, with an average of 9,851 spectators. Even though two our of three home matches were major derbies (against Nyíregyháza and FTC), this number is still remarkable. Behind Loki, Ferencváros ranks second, while Újpest is the third on the list. Thank you for your support! Hajrá, Loki!
DVSC, which started the championship well and was on the podium after 5 rounds, hosted the title defender Ferencváros in front of full stands on Sunday evening. Julien Dacosta, Adrian Guerrero and Erik Kusnyir were not in the squad. However, Joshua Mejias was among the starting XI.
Two of our top players have recently reached a great milestone. Our excellent defender, Ádám Lang made his 100th appearance in the first division, while our captain, Balázs Dzsudzsák has worn the DVSC jersey already during 200 matches. Before the match, Ádám Lang was greeted by Balázs Makray, director of institutional and strategic relations, while Balázs Dzsudzsák by president Ike Thierry Zaengel.
At the beginning of the match, both teams showed a tactical play. In the 8th minute, Szalai tried from distance, but the ball went over the goal. Not long after, Josua Mejias made a great save right in front of the goal. Ferencváros dominated and in the 13th minute, Kanichowsky hit the bar, then Ádám Varga made a brilliant save to deny Pesic’s header. In the 14th minute, he could not help as Barnabás Varga headed the ball into the right side of the goal after a corner (0-1).
Loki had a tough challenge, playing against a team, which competes in the Europa League. In the 24th minute, it looked like the guest team have doubled their advantage with Cadu’s close-range shot, but the goal was disallowed for offside. As halftime approached, the game became more balanced at times. In the 39th minute, Dibusz saved Donát Bárány’s shot. Still, Ferencváros managed to score again before the break. In the 40th minute, after a smoothly executed move, Barnabás Varga slotted the ball home from 10 meters (0-2).
Botond Vajda came on for the 2nd half and DVSC tried to get closer to their opponent. In the 50th minute, Dominik Kocsis made a run on the left side, crossed the ball into the centre and Bárány Donát shot the ball into the far corner from 11 meters. However, the VAR disallowed the goal for offside. In the 54th minute, Tamás Szűcs shot wide off the goal and Loki’s performance was much better.
Both teams had some chances in the next minutes, but the goalkeepers had less to do at these times. Dejan Djokic came off the bench for the last 20 minutes as well as Dorde Gordic (later Flórián Cibla came on and Pape Sissoko, who made his debut). In the 73rd minute, Tamás Szűcs almost scored, but Dibusz performed a huge save.
In the final minutes, Ferencváros scored again as Gruber shot the ball into the bottom left corner from 20 meters (0-3). FTC won and DVSC did not earn any points this time. Due to the World Cup qualifiers, there will be an international break in the league. The next match of Loki will be on September 13 against Veszprém in the Hungarian Cup.

A difficult task was ahead of DVSC on Friday evening, playing at the home of the leader of the table, Puskás Akadémia, in the 5th round. Julien Dacosta, Adrian Guerrero and Erik Kusnyir were out of the squad, but Ádám Lang was back in the starting XI. Vyacheslav Kulbachuk was also in the starting line-up.
At the very beginning of the match, DVSC had more possession and led several dangerous attacks. In the 6th minute, Szappanos made a brilliant save to deny Dominik Kocsis’ shot from 13 meters. DVSC played well, our players showed good performance and the teamwork was also great, which confused the home team at times.
In the next minutes, Loki controlled the match, but in the 24th minute, Ádám Varga also had to perform a save to deny Lukács’ shot. In the second part of the 1st half, the home team increased their possession of the ball. In the 30th minute, Varga denied Markgráf’s cross as well. The last 30 minutes were very exciting. Álex Bermejo came off the bench, and later, György Komáromi also came on as a substitution. Both teams could have decided the match, but it was Loki that did so. In the 86th minute, after Tamás Szűcs’ 19-meter shot took a deflection, the ball ended up in the left side of the net (1-2). What’s more, at the beginning of extra time, following a free-kick from Balázs Dzsudzsák, Vyacheslav Kulbachuk sealed the victory with a confident header from 11 meters (1-3). DVSC earned a deserved and great victory!

According to the coach
Zsolt Hornyák: Congratulations to Debrecen. When the score was 1-1, I felt that we could have won, but in the final minutes, DVSC scored. We lost a lot of duels, which I did not like, as well as using our chances. We missed Duarte a lot.
Sergio Navarro: I’m satisfied with our performance, it was a good match against one of the best teams in Hungary. The first half was the best, which we have showed until now, and after the equalizer, we fought and wanted to win. We are continuously improving and want to improve.
The Croatian midfielder, Neven Djurasek arrived in Debrecen last summer. He suffered from injuries several times and overall, he played in 10 NBI matches in the colours of Loki.

Loki hosted its ancient rival Nyíregyháza in a true derby atmosphere with packed stands in the 4th round of Fizz Liga. Ádám Lang could not play due to a minor disease, but Maximilian Hofmann and Dorge Gordic were among the starting XI.
Our player, Bence Batik has reached a great milestone, playing his 200th first-division match against MTK last time. He made that game truly memorable as he scored the winning goal. Balázs Makray, director of institutional and strategic relations, greeted Bence Batik on the occasion of his 200th match in NBI.

Not long after, Tamás Szűcs unleashed a powerful shot, but it went over the bar. However, in the 16th minute, he did not miss the target. He shot the ball into the bottom left corner from 24 meters, thus, taking the lead for Loki (1-0).
In the next minutes, mostly DVSC’s will prevailed. In the 24th minute, the goalkeeper of Nyíregyháza made a brilliant save to deny Dominik Kocsis’ shot. At the other goal, Ádám Varga confidently saved Kovácsréti’s free-kick, then Dominik Kocsis curled the ball wide off the goal. According to the coach
Sergio Navarro: I’m satisfied with our play in the 1st half, we could have scored more goals. After the break, we also had a chance, but in the last minute, we conceded a goal after a rebound and it decided the match. That’s football. We did not deserve to lose, but obviously, we need to improve. Thanks to our fans for their support!
István Szabó: It was a very good match and it’s worth to play in front of such supporters. The match was eventful and we could make some changes after the break. The substitutions came on well. We are very happy and we had some luck as well, but I think that we deserved to win.

Despite his young age, he made 4 appearances in the colours of Stade Reims in Ligue 1, while in the second team, he played in 16 matches and scored 12 goals.
There’s a great future ahead of Pape Sissoko, who has joined DVSC. Welcome to Loki!
György Komáromi joined DVSC at the beginning of August. The 23-year-old, 177 cm tall, former U21 national team player has already made his debut in Loki during the victory against Kazincbarcika. He talked about his first impressions to dvsc.hu.
“From the first minute, it felt like I had arrived into a family. The guys, both Hungarians and foreigners, have accepted me. I feel as if I’ve been here for years. I’m grateful to the boys and the staff for everything, I feel great. It was good to be on the pitch against Kazincbarcika. We came off the bench with Dorde Gordic when we took the lead for the second time, so obviuosly, our goal was to keep the advantage, which we managed to do. I felt that the others were looking for me with the ball, they trusted me, which felt great. I’m looking forward to Sunday’s derby, we have to win that game”, said György Komáromi, who feels at home in Debrecen.
“We could go around the city with my girlfriend, we went to the zoo, for example. Debrecen is a livable city, we really like to be here. We quickly found a suitable apartment and we totally feel at home. I feel good both physically and mentally. My only aim is to show myself and everyone, my teammates and the fans what I’m capable of and prove that I can help the team”, said our player, who can contribute a lot to the play of DVSC.
DVSC secured a 2-1 victory over Kazincbarcika in the 3rd round of Fizz Liga with great individual performances. Balázs Dzsudzsák, who scored the winning goal, took a role in the first goal as well. Thus, he was included in the best team of the round both at Nemzeti Sport and Csakfoci. Márk Szécsi, who scored the first goal, was also among the best at Nemzeti Sport. Congratulations to our players!
