DVSC signed the 36-year-old Shuichi Gonda. The experienced Japanese goalkeeper has had an impressive career, making 38 appearances for his country’s national team. In the 2022 World Cup, he saved the goal of Japan, where his team defeated both Germany and Spain and reached the quarterfinals.
Until February, he played for Sihimizu S-Pulse and during his career, he has won both the Asian and the Japanese Cup. Shuichi Gonda has also played in Austria and Portugal, while in the Japanese league, he has saved the goal in 299 matches.
