Fizz Liga 2025/2026

OUR TEAM ON THE PODIUM: DVSC-PAKS 1-0

DVSC, which was the fourth on the table before the round, hosted the third-place Paks on Saturday afternoon at Nagyerdei Stadium. Due to suspension, head coach Sergio Navarro was missing (he was subsituted by Alex Pallarés assistant coach) and Dominik Kocsis as well. Julien Dacosta and Víctor Camarasa were out of the squad, however, Botond Vajda and Bence Batik were among the starting XI.

In this match, Tamás Szűcs made his 50th appearance in NBI for DVSC. On this ocassion, the 21-year-old midfielder of Loki was congratulated by sporting director Ádám Bogdán.

At the very beginning of the match, Paks made several several attempts. In the 3rd minute, Benedek Erdélyi saved the long-range shot of Hahn, then in the 7th minute, our young goalkeeper made a brilliant save to deny Balogh’s close-range header. The pace was vivid, there were many duels, which was expected. In the 27th minute, Balogh shot wide off the goal from 21 meters and after 30 minutes, Loki started to take control of the match. The opponent’s goalkeeper saved Flórián Cibla’s header and at the end of the 1st half, the defenders of Paks blocked Bárány Donát’s shot within the box. In stoppage time, the ball struck a Paks player’s hand in the penalty area following an attempt by Josua Mejías. The incident was reviewed by VAR, but no penalty was awarded.

The second half started with the attempts of Debrecen and the goal also came! In the 50th minute, Josua Mejías took a shot from inside the penalty area and Donát Bárány shot the rebound into the net (1–0). There was a lengthy VAR review, but referee Berke awarded the goal. Shortly afterwards, György Komáromi curled the ball just wide off the goal and the crowd got fired up as well.

In the next minutes, Paks tried to put pressure on our team, but DVSC played well and took control of the match. Twenty five minutes before the end, Soma Szuhodovszki came off the bench (later Álex Bermejo, Amos Youga and Márk Szécsi as well) and Loki tried to save the advantage in order to win the match. Donát Bárány, Soma Szuhodovszki, Tamás Szűcs and at the other side, Ádám Martin was also close to scoring, but at the end, no one found the net. Thus, Loki won the match and earned another three valuable points. Well done, guys!

The next match will be away against Újpest on Friday.

According to the coach

Alex Pallarés: Eighty percent of a team’s performance comes from mentality. We also did this mental preparation and work during the week. We earned a well-deserved victory.

György Bognár: I regret this defeat; my team lacked experience. The first half was good from our side, but in the second half we did not play well.
