After the 1-1 draw against Austria Wien, DVSC played another pre-season match in the Austrian training camp on Thursday. Our team took the field against the Serbian first-division FK Zeleznicar Pancevo, who will also compete on the international stage.

Loki started well: in the 2nd minute, Erik Kusnyir hit the post. In the first 15 minutes, both teams tried to build quick attacks, while focusing on intense pressing too. After a corner in the 9th minute, Maximilian Hofmann was close to scoring, but his shot was blocked in the last second.

Both sides took the match seriously, then around the 20th minute, there was some turmoil on the pitch, at the end of which the referee awarded a red card to the Serbian team’s head coach. In the 24th minute, Plamen Andrejev made a great save to deny a close-range header. However, in the 29th minute, Zeleznicar took the lead: after winning possession, Pedro Simao shot the ball into the net from long-range (0-1).

The Serbian side doubled their advantage before the break, as Jevremović found the back of the net with a precise strike from distance (0–2). However, DVSC responded immediately: after a fine pass from Dominik Kocsis, Sohan Baldoni calmly converted a one-on-one opportunity to make it 1–2. Our new French striker has now scored in each of his first two appearances for Loki, having also found the net against Austria Wien.

After the break, there were some chances at both sides, and in the 50th minute, our goalkeeper had to produce two saves. Right after that Balázs Dzsudzsák found himself in a scoring opportunity, but Popovic could deny it. The play was diverse and in the 53rd minute, the Serbian goalkeeper saved Rotem Keller’s cross. In the 56th minute, Sumaila headed the ball into the net of Loki at the end of a quick attack (1-3).

The substitutions came on for the last 30 minutes. Even though there were less chances, both teams could have scored. At the end, the score remained unchanged. The next match will be against the Croatian Slaven Belupo at 11.30 on Friday.
