FIVE DVSC youngsters called up to the Hungarian U21 squad

From August 31 to September 2, the Hungarian U21 national team will hold a training camp in Telki. Five players have been called up to the squad, including three homegrown players of DVSC: Benedek Erdélyi, Flórián Cibla, Gergő Tercza, Botond Vajda and Vilmos Dénes will all travel to Telki. This is a particularly proud achievement, as the last time DVSC had five players represented at this age level was around 30 years ago, when Sándor Tamás, Tibor Dombi, Csaba Madar, Csaba Szatmári and Zoltán Pető were all part of the Olympic team.

“We are extremely proud that five of our players will be attending the training camp of the U21 national team. We are confident that they will also make a great impression on everyone at the national team,” said Ádám Bogdán, DVSC’s sporting director.

In fact, the Hungary U17 national team will take part in the traditional Telki Cup from Wednesday to Sunday. Head coach Dávid Horváth has also called up Dávid Hermann, a talented player from the DVSC Football Academy. The youth national team will face Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Italy at the Telki Cup.

The Hungary U16 national team will also hold a training camp in Telki, from August 31 to September 3. Three DVSC Football Academy players have been included in the squad: Nimród Szerepi-Nagy, Tamás Mester and Nimród Szilágyi. Ákos Kovács has been named as a backup player.
