DVSC signs former Barcelona player

DVSC has signed Spanish midfielder Sergi Samper on a 1+1-year contract.

The 31-year-old player, born in Barcelona, developed at the world-famous La Masia academy of FC Barcelona. He represented Spain from U17 to U21 level and made his senior debut for Barcelona, later also playing for Granada and Las Palmas. In total, Samper has made 25 appearances in La Liga and 93 in the Spanish second division, and has also featured in the UEFA Champions League. His honours include a UEFA Champions League title, a Spanish league title, a domestic cup win and a Club World Cup victory.

He later moved abroad, becoming a key player for Vissel Kobe in Japan, where he made 88 appearances and won both the league title and the cup. After a spell at FC Andorra, he joined Motor Lublin in Poland in 2024, where he played 30 matches in the most recent season. In Poland, he worked under DVSC’s head coach Gert Remmel, who is already familiar with his qualities and believes that the experienced midfielder can significantly strengthen the squad.

Welcome to Loki, Sergi!
