Zalán Bács joined DVSC as the Head of Community. He talked about his plans:
“I’ve been a Loki fan since I was born; my earliest memory is of a DVSC match, and my family are also die-hard fans—you could say I was born into this community. I previously worked at DVSC as a communications officer, where I focused on strengthening university ties, organizing community programs, and managing the club’s social engagement.
Over the past year and a half, as one of the main organizers of the MatchDay Festival, I’ve been working to build the Loki community. For the past two years, I have worked as a physical education and history teacher at Balásházy in Pallag, and I am currently a teaching assistant at the Institute of Sports Science Coordination at the University of Debrecen, as well as a PhD student at the Doctoral School of Management and Organizational Sciences. During my university years, I was also actively involved in building the student community. My work has always centered on community building, engaging young people, and strengthening the social role of sports. In the coming years, I have set the goal of making DVSC an even stronger presence in the daily life of the city and the region.
I would like to strengthen ties with local educational institutions and involve as many young people as possible in the life of the club. In addition, my goal is to build a more active, organized fan community, continuously improve the match-day experience, and launch new community initiatives that will strengthen the relationship between DVSC and the city in the long term. I believe that it is not only the fans who should be involved in the club’s day-to-day operations, but that this should work both ways. DVSC must be the beating heart of the city, serving as one of the region’s strongest community-building forces. I believe that DVSC is a shared value that unites our community—both on the field and beyond“.
