Fizz Liga 2025/2026

GREAT VICTORY IN THE DERBY: NYíREGYHÁZA-DVSC 0-3

A classical derby was ahead of DVSC in the 15th round of Fizz Liga, playing at the home of its ancient rival, Nyíregyháza on this cool Friday evening. Our team wasn’t left without support as the away sector was full with our fans. Among the starting XI were Julien Dacosta, Bence Batik and Dorde Gordic.

At the beginning of the match, the home team tried to put pressure on Loki, but the first shot on target came from our team: in the 2nd minute, the goalkeeper of Nyíregyháza saved Dominik Kocsis’s attempt. What’s more, we took the lead in the 6th minute! At the end of a great attack, the ball went through Amos Youga, Balázs Dzsudzsák and Dorde Gordic, the latter giving a through pass to Soma Szuhodovszki, who confidently struck the ball into the bottom left corner from 13 meters (0-1).

In the 15th minute, Tamás Szűcs was toughly fouled in the midfield, he became dizzy and had to be taken off on a stretcher. He had to be substituted and we wish him a speedy recovery!

In the 21st minute, DVSC scored again! Julien Dacosta broke into the box from the right, and after his cross the ball rebounded off a defender, allowing Dorde Gordic to fire into the right side of the net from 12 metres (0–2). There was a fierce battle on the pitch: our team played well and continued to control the match until the break, although in the 39th minute, another brilliant save from Varga was needed to stop Manner’s shot.

Nyíregyháza also tried to start the second half with pressure, but Loki kept the match under control. The home team strived for a penalty, but none of the situations involved any real fouls. The tension grew and in the 57th minute, Balázs Dzsudzsák’s shot was saved by Kovács, but the home side’s attacks also posed danger at times.

Fran Manzanara came on for the final minutes (followed by György Komáromi, Márk Szécsi and Adrián Guerrero as well), and DVSC managed the remaining time professionally. In the 82nd minute, Dominik Kocsis sealed the deal with a fine shot from 13 metres (0–3), giving Loki their first victory in Nyíregyháza in 15 years. The three points are extremely valuable and our team continues to lead the table.

The next match will be against Puskás Akadémia on December 6 at Nagyerdei Stadium.

According to the coach

Tamás Bódog: We suffered a painful defeat. It’s hard to evaluate the match. Debrecen was good and it’s no coincidence they’re in first place. We have room to improve.

Sergio Navarro: It’s an honour for me to work with these players. Our game plan worked; the players understood what we wanted to do against a strong opponent. I’m satisfied with the team. Tamás Szűcs was taken to the hospital, but as far as I know, he’s already feeling better.
