After the international break, third-placed DVSC hosted the rookie, Kazincbarcika in the 14th round of FIzz Liga in a windy weather and a temperature of around 4 degrees. Donát Bárány, Márk Szécsi and Maximilian Hofmann were out of the squad, while Cibla Flórián and Soma Szuhodovszki were among the starting XI.

Soma Szuhodovszki has reached a great milestone, playing his 50th match against ZTE in the colours of Loki. The 25-year-old player has made that match memorable with an assist, which was also necessary for the 2-1 victory. Before the match, Soma Szuhodovszki was greeted by the managing director of DVSC, Balázs Makray.

At the beginning of the match, Loki took the initiative and in the 3rd minute, the goalkeeper of Kazincbarcika made a brilliant save to deny Soma Szuhodovszki’s shot from 20 meters. In the 5th minute, the away team also had a chance, Trencsényi made an attempt, but Ádám Varga made a save.

In the 12th minute, at the end of a beautiful attack of Balázs Dzsudzsák-Adrian Guerrero-Flórián Cibla, our young winger, Cibla made a shot, but he hit the goalkeeper in a one-on-one opportunity.

At times, DVSC was creative and the goal felt imminent, but breaking down the defense of Kazincbarcika was not easy. In the 30th minute, Julien Dacosta headed wide off the goal after the corner. In the 40th minute, at the end of a great combination, Tamás Szűcs shot wide off the goal and no goals were scored until the break.

György Komáromi came on for the 2nd half to substitute Dominik Kocsis, who got injured, and Loki tried to increase the pressure. In the 47th minute, Juhász saved the long-range shot of Josua Mejías, then Balázs Dzsudzsák unleashed a powerful shot, but it went wide off the goal. However, DVSC took the lead in the 49th minute: at the end of a quick attack, Tamás Szűcs made a through pass to Balázs Dzsudzsák, who converted the one-on-one opportunity from 15 meters (1-0).

In the next minutes, Tamás Szűcs shot wide off the goal from a distance, then Kazincbarcika scored, but it was flagged for offside. Bence Batik and Botond Vajda came off the bench for the last 30 minutes, the in the 70th minute, Julien Dacosta made a foul within the box. The referee awarded a penalty and Kártik converted it as Ádám Varga could only touch the ball (1-1).

Loki tried to decide the match during the endgame and succeeded to do so in the 78th minute. György Komáromi smashed a loose ball into the right side of the net from 14 meters (2-1). The score did not change in the final minutes, though Barcika did hit the crossbar once. Thus, DVSC earned a deserved victory in a hard-fought match. The next match will be next Friday at the home of Nyíregyháza.

According to the coach

Sergio Navarro: It was a tough match. We played well in the first half, we are constantly learning and improving. We took the lead in the second half, then our opponent equalized from a penalty. After that we’ve showed a winning mentality and I’m glad for that.

Attila Kuttor: It was a good match. What we’ve planned tactically, it worked, but we could not show the quality neither in offense nor defense.
